So I got to thinking about the Tom Cruise post....and it made me realize that movies seem to have gone downhill lately. Right? They either have the same endings or have so many cuss words I can't even remember what the movie is supposed to be about! I know I am picky. I over analyze everything! Usually withing 20 min. of a suspense movie, I have it all figured out and there is no surprise for me! This drives my hubby batty! He wishes I would just sit back and enjoy it, but I can't! And the cussing! Geezo! I can handle "some" foul language in a movie but when every sentence has the f_ word, I have to turn it off.
Now on the plus side was Shutter Island! This movie was fabulous!!! It is a rarity that I want to see a movie more than once but this one ..... oh, yeah! The ending through me for a loop! Never saw it coming! And this is another movie where I am not a huge fan of the star! Leonardo DiCaprio did really well in it, though. This is definately another must see!
Then there is kids movies ... what has happened there? Why do we have to put adult humor in it? I realize the kids probably don't get most of it and it is so that the parents like it too, but why? Leave it a kids movie!! There really hasn't been very many good ones put out in the last, oh I don't know, 10 years?!? "Up" was good, as well as "Dispicable Me". But remember the day when every Disney movie was an intant classic? Aladding, Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, etc .... Stories this good are hard to find nowadays. So sad. I guess I should feel blessed to have been there for these classics ....

Time to Clean ...
Okay, those of you that know me, know I do not have one of those "model beautiful" homes. It is usually a train wreck! I know it is mostly because we have wayyyyy too much stuff in this little ol' house. So this week I am challenging myself to fill a box a day to get outta here! So far, so good. I posted 2 sleeping bags and a small box of toys on Freecycle and they have already been picked up. I also have a sheet (yes, only one. My son can't seem to find the matching bottom sheet! Please tell me we aren't the only ones with mismatched sheets!) and a blanket that my brother is picking up for his son! Also, on Monday we took a large bag of clothes to the Goodwill! I'm very excited to get all this "stuff" out of here but still very dismayed with how much more needs to go! Hopefully by the end of the week I will see more benefit!

Tom Cruise surprise!
Okay, I know I may step on toes here but .... I'm not a Tom Cruise fan! I can't really explain why, I just don't like the guy or his acting! I mean, there is certain celebrities out there that I will watch ANY movie they are in because I feel that they just "make" a movie. Examples would be Nicholas Cage, Sandra Bullock and Samuel L. Jackson.
Here's the surprise ... I watched Knight and Day tonight and really enjoyed it! I was worried about wasting my $ renting it cuz I know Tom Cruise was in it but it was really good! Had lots of action and comedy! I laughed out loud NUMEROUS times! I really recommend this on your next "veg-out" night at home!
